Important Update on Medicaid Coverage

Not Yet Accepting Medicaid - Stay Tuned

Tentative Review of Medicaid Acceptance Planned July 2026

At this time, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily pause accepting Medicaid plans. This pause is necessary because major national health policy organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), are actively reviewing and revising how speech therapy services are defined and reimbursed under public programs like Medicaid and Medicare.

Federal agencies continue to adapt to the passing of the Big Beautiful Bill and its reduction of federal Medicaid spending. Recent updates have been issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association to its members, SLPs, on February 11, 2026: the entire profession of speech therapy is at-risk due to federal changes.

These changes are still unfolding, and the final policies are expected to be released by federal agencies in July 2026. We recognize the frustration this situation may cause and want you to know that our office shares your concerns and is actively monitoring developments. If implemented as written, these changes could significantly impact provider sustainability and may force many more practices to close or discontinue service.

We value equitable access to services and are committed to serving all families. As soon as the reimbursement landscape becomes clearer, we plan to reevaluate participation with Medicaid plans and will update this information here. In the meantime, we’re happy to discuss private pay options and other ways to support your child’s speech and communication development.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time of transition.
